Into The Shit Abyss

Mary and I had a great day together on Friday. We went to the Norht end of town and did a little shopping. I bought a few new articles of clothing from Thrifty's. I got a new coat and 4 t-shirts, most with environmental slogans. GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT COOL!, LET THE FUTURE BE GREEN, and 100% RECYCLEABLE*BIODEGRADABLE. We then went to ValHala to see the cost of buying some camping inflateable mats for Mary's relatives to sleep on next weekend. Her sister Renee, her 2 girls and their puppy are coming for the long weekend. The price on some nice mats was too high so we went to Walmart and got an air mattress for 19 bucks. While we were at walmart we stocked up on the Easter supplies for the kids which came in very hany when I got drun before the Trailer Park Boys show and needed some munchies. Mary and I had a few drinks here and there before the show and a few at the show. I had had only one drink since I got sick so it didn't take me much but I hung in there. The show was really funny. They did alot of reenacting of TPB skits and interactive trivia. I asked Randy why he takes his pants off when he fights. He simply replied' cuz they're nice pants and I don't want to get them dirty, and I need room to stretch out.It was hilarious. Thanks Mary for the tickets. We went out for Suhi at Acme after the show and then accross the street to Pirate Chips for a deep fried Mars Bar for desert. First time I've had one. Heard about them many of times but never tried until now.

Well there it is. Finally complete. My second paint job. There were a few late nights at the hangar in order to get it done on time but it always feels really good to look at the finished product. I went in to work this morning to finish up a few last minute details and to get some pictures and then came home. I'm taking friday off also. Mary has the day off too. We are going to see The Trailer Park Boys live at the Port Theater tomorrow night so we are making a full day of it. I have been looking foreward to this since Valentines day. Then on Saturday we go to see Rich's Bird Banding Presentation at the Brant Festival.

BELLE VISIT

We got to babysit Belle (Justin and Amanda's Dog) this weekend while they were away. She is the sweetest dog and so well behaved (except once in a while when she jumps on the bed or in the front seat of the truck after a walk in the rain). This picture shows her dropping off the ball for us to throw for her 1 of the 180 times as we walked around Hemer Lake. Mary has one of those ball chuckers so we don't dislocate a shoulder and Belle gets many throws. We get to keep her tonight and I'll drop her off at home in the morning on my way to work. I had to work on Saturday. Today seemed way to short since Mary had to work at 4 . She called a few minutes ago though and said she might get off early.

Update

I went to work today for the first time since last Tuesday. I felt pretty good all day up until the last hour or so. I pulled a 10.5 hour day though so I guees I can expect to be a little exhausted. They had a guy from an auto resoration place in Errigton come down and start the bodywork on the latest project while I was down. It kept us in the game for sure but we are still behind and the guy is coming to view the progress tomorrow. Oh well dude, cry me a friggin river Mr.Rich helicopter guy. My health is more important thatn your damn chopper. I got a raise today. I had planned on asking for one when I started this project and the trouble that they had finding someone to take over for me while I was sick just enhanced the fact that I am worth more than what I was getting. So I went to the boss first thing this morning and asked for a few more bucks. We'll see what we settle on. Even with a 2 dollar an hour raise I'd still be 6 dollars an hour cheaper than the guy who's job I recently took over.

Gramma Lynn and Papa Guy's Place

We went out to My Mom and Guy's place for brunch on Sunday with Justin, Amanda,Ryder, and their dog Belle. We ate eggs benedict with the eggs that Nolan had gathered up for us. Delish. Thanks Mom.
Austin and Ryder stomping feet
Mary and Ryder checking out the chickens. Ryder had just woke up from the car ride out to Gramma Lynn's and Papa's so he wasn't all that into it.

Off to work I go I go

Things seem to have cleared up. I still feel pretty weak but I think I'm ready to get back to work and my normal life.

HOSPITAL TIME

On Saturday, the day after our Gabriola trip, I ended up in the hospital with internal bleeding. This has happened before 3 times so I am sort of used to it but it doesn't make it any less frustrating or scary. I went in Saturday morning at about 10am and stayed in Emergency until around 6pm when the doc made the call to admit me. This was the same Gastrointestinal doctor that I saw 2 times previously so he knew my case right away. They have never found out what the cause of the bleeding was (is) and still haven't which adds to the frustration. I was released on Sunday afternoon since my hemoglobin had only dropped slightly and I didn't appear o be high risk anymore. So since I wasn't in hospital I thought I'd better go to work on Tuesday after a day of rest, BAD IDEA!! I felt pretty bad yesterday and slept restlessly last night. When my body is low on blood I can hear my heart beat whooshing so loudly in my ears and it drives me nuts. So I stayed home today and I feel much better. The whooshing has stopped but the blood hasn't gone yet. I am pretty sure it is old blood working it's way out of my body but I am not positive. I can only go by how I feel which is ...better. I'm taking the rest of the week off to recover or more days if necessary. Like I say, We don't know what caused the bleeding this time but I am going to watch my diet much closer and stop with the everyday beers. I knew I better slow down when while I was in the hospital I was on clear fluids and jello strictly and everyone’s comment was," Corona IS a clear fluid".

Thanks for the support everyone. Lori had to be updated via my mom because she was really sick with the flu but I know she was with me. Justin and Amanda came on Sunday with wicked reading material and support. Mom came to see me with Mary on Sunday morning with support and that” here we go again eh Kor, hang in there" look in her eyes. Thanks Mary for taking the time to be by my side every second she possibly could. Being with you there made it bearable. It has been really hard on Mary to see me go through this and especially to have to leave my bedside at the hospital. I must say it was very saddening to see her have to go. The hospital is a lonely place to be in the night and visiting hours are from 11am to 8pm. 11.......are you kidding me. That was torture. The rest of the family has seen it all too many times but I'm sure it doesn't get much easier. I am sorry that you all have to watch me suffer. I can't even imagine what it would be like to see any of you in my position. I will update tomorrow.

GABRIOLA 2007

Mary and I took a trip back to Gabriola Island last week. We had such a great experience last year, we had to do it again. It was a great day once again. I Love You Mary
This was the hotel Mary and I stayed at last year. It was an unbeatable experience. We had to go back to visit.

We ate Eggs Benny here last year and we've talked about it ever since. "We have to go back there for eggs benny". Well we missed breakfast so I had a beef dip and Mary had oysters. VERY tasty also.

The elusive Leporidae MARY
Continued on the next entry is our journey down to the Malaspina Galleries . It is really amazing to see these sand stone wave formations. (click the image to enlarge so you can read the sign)
